Alpha® introduces the Diamond-clustered Spike Disc, which utilizes a new diamond technology where a multi-layer of high-quality diamond grits are vacuum-brazed into a clustered layer. This allows the removal of thick coating materials such as Epoxy and Urethane on concrete floors. During the Spike Disc operation, the coatings/materials are removed quickly, but without damage to the concrete surface, unlike PCD cup wheels, therefore saving time by eliminating the grinding process. The Spike Disc also has a unique open-mesh diamond layout to eliminate the clogging problems, thus avoiding the heat buildup that commonly burns the metal surfaces. Spike Discs can be used on steel, wood and other softer surfaces such as Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer and Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer. The Spike Disc is a must-have part of your restoration tooling! Multiple boat manufacturers are having unbelievable success grinding fiberglass!
Alpha Professional Tools® is excited to introduce a new industrial quality pneumatic stone cutter, called the Alpha® PSC-150, which is equipped with a 2 hp motor, with a speed governor in the motor that regulates the air consumption according to the torque needed for the application. This regulation includes producing enough torque to cut 1-1/4” (3cm) stone slabs in one pass. In addition, Alpha® recognized the need for an industrial quality portable stone cutter that is capable of miter cutting of 1-1/4” (3cm) materials with ease, so that any stone fabricator can use it when miter cuts are required, without time-consuming setup.
The Alpha® PSC-150 comes with an Eclipse II 6” blade which is the recommended turbo blade for granite and engineered stone. It can utilize a variety of consumables including the Alpha® Katana 6” for porcelain panels and slabs, Hot-Rod 4” for 1/4” steel rods and 1/8” fiber glass rods. For marble applications, a Libero 5” blade is recommended since most marble slabs are 3/4” (2cm) thick or less.
These items, or any other Alpha® products, can be purchased through our extensive dealer network. To locate a dealer near you, contact our sales or customer service departments at (800) 648-7229.
Alpha® has redesigned the packaging of blades to be in a sleeve with a picture of the blade on the front cover. The blade itself has a new white and gray color scheme along with a reflective 3D coating. The sleeves have an envelope-type closure and a sturdy metal grommet top to hang securely. In addition, we have included a QR (Quick Response) Code where customers can simply scan with their smartphone and instantly get detailed information as well as product videos
