Dummel
In 1928 a workshop was founded by Paul Duemmel for the mechanical & electrical repairs for Motorbikes. The first patents of the Duemmel tool factory were introduced over half a century ago. Driven by his inventive drive, Paul Duemmel developed products with various application areas in the early fifties. In 1951 the first wind turbine was patented and powered the manufacturing for it's first couple of years.
In 1952 Duemmel began selling carbide cutting tools. The first tests in manufacturing and selling tools were even earlier, in the end of the 1940's. The first braced tool patent came in 1957 and this led to the specialization of the company. The Dümmel company thus began it's specialization in miniature machining.

Grooving & Turning
ULTRAMINI
The Dümmel Ultramini tool-line is a must for turning smallest bores. The inside bore machining of small diameters has always been difficult and it is not easy to obtain the ideal tool. The Ultramini tool-line covers more than 1.000 different standard inserts which could be clamped in only two toolholders. Of course the complete Ultramini program is available on stock.

Milling
MIKROMILL
Groove milling from a diameter of 6.0mm. The groove widths are spaced between 0.7mm and 2.0mm. All tools are available as round shank or Weldon version. The thread processing, especially for the medical field, starts from a thread of M1.6 in the standard. In addition to geometries for grooving and thread milling cutters there are also a Mikromill system.

MINIMILL
The Minimill-System with three cutting edges is the ne plus ultra for machining from 10 mm bore diameter. A large selection of standard inserts as well as toolholderS from steel and carbide are available from stock.
With six cutting tools you profit from higher feed, longer tool life as well as higher metal removal rates. The six cutting edged Minimill-system is also available with an anti-vibration carbide toolholder as well as standard steel toolholders.

SYSTEM 500
The circular milling system offers all advantages for optimal machine cutting starting from bore diameter 34 mm. All tools are designed for circular interpolation machining. There is an extensive selection of cutting geometry and milling bodies. The indexable carbide inserts are available in TIN or TIALN coating.
The high speed Slotting Cutter offers at a width of groove width 4 mm a very strong screwed clamping. The inserts with three cutting edges are grinded very positive which is perfect especially for operations with high-strenght materials.
